Cooking Session September 21

Registration for the next community kitchen on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 3-6pm is now open. Child minding and TTC tokens will be provided. The community kitchen program is located at the East York Community Centre (1081 1/2/ Pape Ave). You must be a resident of NODA to participate.

South Riverdale Community Health Centre and the Riverdale Working Food Group are recruiting for the position of Harvest Meal Program Facilitator. Please see the attached job posting. It’s for a part-time position (24h/week), 6 week contract @ $20/hr.

Diabetes in the Real World

The Diabetes in the Real World Committee in partnership with the Good Food Market is in the midst of planning a fun filled event with a focus on Diabetes and Healthy Eating on a budget. Come out and shop at the Good Food Market, play interactive games where you can test your knowledge, see a Tai Chi demonstration, learn about community resources, get a healthy snack , learn about ideas around eating healthy on a budget and last but not least there will be opportunities to win prizes.

Tuesday, August 19th, 2014, 2-6:pm in the courtyard between SRCHC and the Queen Street East Presbyterian Church. Everyone Welcome!
